IF YOU FEEL LIKE A  STROLL

The beach

Start in the centre of San Vicente and cross the historical bridge of la Maza, which was once “one of the longest in the kingdom”, and you will then come to the beach. After you get to the beach, you will still have to walk another 3 kilometres.  Many people enjoy this walk in all seasons. Thousands of people visit the beach in summer (yet it is never overcrowded) and you will find them constantly strolling up and down these delightful shores.

A PICTURE POSTCARD

San Vicente and los “Picos de Europa” mountain range

We are sure you will love the view from the beach of La Baquera. It is beautiful but it is at its best in the months of autumn and winter. The seafaring town is in the foreground and the magnificent snow topped mountains of the Picos de Europa are in the background. What a great contrast!

A FEAST FOR THE PALATE

Fish and Seafood

We strongly recommend you try the gastronomy of San Vicente. The range of delicacies on offer is simply superb.  Throughout the year, the port and the estuary of San Vicente have a wonderful variety of fish, seafood and molluscs.

ATMOSPHERE

The arcades

The locals love to get together under the typical arcades of San Vicente. This can happen at any time of the day. In summer the arcades provide protection from the sun and in winter they provide shelter from the cold and the rain.
